Mason County Sheriff's Office: Corrections Officer of the Year
The Mason County Sheriff’s Officer of the Year is a prestigious and
distinguished honor, which has been awarded annually to the officer
of each sheriff’s office classification since 2003. Sergeants are
excluded from this honor. The award represents the officers
who have displayed the highest qualities of professionalism,
integrity, and character.
Ronda Close’s continual display of professionalism and enthusiasm
in the performance of her duties, along with her dedication to the
Mason County Sheriff’s Office goals made her the staff’s choice
to be awarded Mason County’s 2011
Correction’s/Telecommunication’s Officer of the Year. Ronda
has been serving the Mason County Sheriff’s Office in a fulltime
capacity since late 2005. Only having been eligible for consideration of the award for the past six years, Ronda has now been honored as the Correction’s/Telecommunication’s Officer of the Year for a third time; an achievement unmatched by any other officer in the correction’s/telecommunications classification.
